Who is your mate? Simi, a singer, responds when her daughter Adejare calls her “Simisola” (Video)

Simi, a well-known musician in Nigeria, and her daughter Adejare Kosoko are featured in a humorous video that has gone viral online and has generated a lot of discussion.

Simi was seen in the video posted to her Instagram Stories trying to talk to her young kid in a mother-child manner.

Simi, a vocal powerhouse from Nigeria, questioned her daughter in the video, “Kin lon shele?,” which is Yoruba for “What’s happening?”

Simi the singer erupted into hysterical laughing in response to Adejare’s sudden cry of her mother’s name, “Simisola.”

In response, Simi asks her daughter, “Who is your mate?” and warns her daughter about the manner she approaches her.

When Simi asked her daughter what her name was, the answer she gave was “Mummy,” but that was only the beginning.

Simi continued by inquiring about her name, to which Adejare replied, “Simisola.” The singer then corrected her once more, adding that her name is Simi, and persisted by asking about it once more.

Adejare, who appears to be reconsidering, says her name with a foreign tone and her mother corrects her once more by saying it correctly in Yoruba.
