Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ahmed Ololade, also known as Asake has outlined the significance of the Yoruba language in his music. He claimed that he enjoys singing in Yoruba since it is widely spoken and understood and because it is essential to him.
According to Asake, who described music as a mood in an interview with NewsLive Prime, using music on a smartphone sometimes doesn’t require understanding it.
His words are:
“Yoruba is so important to me. To me the way I understand music is that it is a feeling”, he said.
