Bright Okpocha, aka Basketmouth, a top comedian, has responded to Colleague Ay’s revelations about their ongoing feud.
The seasoned entertainers have recently been popular topics on social media, with many people who were previously ignorant of their dispute learning more after AY’s candid chat with Chude Jideonwo.
According to AY, a deal between them turned sour in 2006 when Basketmouth kept onto N30,000 that was supposed to be his payment. AY, who was still having trouble, eventually turned to exchanging information with a client, which led Basketmouth to feel betrayed.
Even when they were at odds, AY said he tried to make it to Basketmouth’s wedding in 2010, but he was turned away at the door. AY claimed that only his wife Mabel’s name appeared on the guest list, not himself.
On Friday, March 31, Basketmouth was asked by the crowd to comment on the 30K saga with his arch-rival while on his “Unprovoked” tour in Europe.
In response, Basketmouth stated that he wanted to remain silent on the subject.
His answer;
“To be honest, I would love to talk about it, but the truth is some people will record it, and people would say I responded
But to be honest I don’t want Ay to ever hear from me again”
