It has been claimed that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has married a new woman following the recent incident in which the Ooni of Ife’s wives upset the peace by shunning one another at an occasion. According to reports, the Ooni’s sixth wife, Queen Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmuda, wed him some time ago.
There are no internet images of the wedding currently in circulation, but a Thanksgiving service invitation has been sent out for Saturday, May 20, 2023.
On Thursday before the occasion, the Queen will make a customary entrance inside the historic Ife Oodua Palace of Ile-Ife. The Ooni has not yet released a formal announcement on the new marriage on his social media accounts.
A few days ago, there was the occasion where the Ooni’s wives made fun of one another. In Lagos, a coffee book titled “Ile-Ife, The Cradle of the World” was unveiled in the presence of the monarch’s wives.
Olori Ashley and Olori Ronke, the fourth and fifth spouses, were seen sitting together when the first wife, Olori Mariam, approached them in a video that City People TV aired online. Olori Ashley was met by Olori Mariam, but Olori Ronke opted to ignore her, making a lot of noise with her obvious actions.
