Iyabo Ojo, born Alice Iyabo Ojo on December 21, 1977, is a Nigerian actress, producer, and director. She has appeared in over 150 films and has produced over 14 of her own.
Iyabo Ojo was born in Lagos, Nigeria, but was raised in Abeokuta, Ogun State. She is the youngest of three children.
She has appeared in and written for several Nigerian films. Ojo made her film debut in the English-language film Satanic in 1998.

Iyabo Ojo was born in Lagos, Nigeria as Alice Iyabo Ogunro. Her father was from Abeokuta, Ogun State. Ojo is the youngest of three children, having grown up with her two older brothers.
Iyabo Ojo attended and graduated from a public school in Lagos State, where she earned her First School Leaving Certificate.
She graduated from National College, Gbagbada, with a Senior Secondary School Certificate before enrolling at Lagos State Polytechnic to study Estate Management.

Iyabo’s acting talent was nurtured in secondary school, where she was a regular member of the drama group. But it wasn’t until 1998 that she took it to the next level. She approached Bimbo Akintola after seeing one of her films and expressed an interest in acting. She joined the Actors Guild of Nigeria with the help of Bimbo (AGN). She went to several auditions and eventually landed a role in the English film ‘Satanic.’ Iyabo began to receive more acting roles, and her presence became more noticeable.
She made her Yoruba-language debut with Baba Darijinwon in 2002 and has since become a force to reckon in the Nigerian movie industry.
She eventually began producing her own films in 2014. Her first film was a Yoruba film called ‘Bolutife.’ She has produced at least 14 films and has appeared in approximately 150 films. Iyabo founded her own non-profit organization, Pinkies Foundation, in May 2011. The foundation’s main goal is to help children with special needs and the less fortunate.
