On February 5, 1971, Faithia Williams was born. Faithia, a Delta native, was born into a polygamous family of nine members.
In Lagos, Faithia Balogun attended Maryland Primary School and Maryland Comprehensive Secondary School.
Maryland Comprehensive Secondary School awarded her a West African School Certificate. She then attended Kwara State Polytechnic to seek a diploma certificate.

Fathia worked as a general receptionist at Chips Bit & Bit, a computer company on Toyin Street in Ikeja, Lagos, earning N5,000 per month. She couldn’t decide whether to call it fate or chance! It all began in the early 1990s. Alhaji Fatai Teniola assisted her in breaking into the industry by casting her in a film. The Nollywood actress revealed that acting was never her passion, instead aspiring to be a broadcaster, despite her father’s wishes for her to be an accountant.
The actress added that she was unable to accomplish her aspirations due to her inability to pass the JAMB examinations, and that as a result of her extended stay at home, her father was forced to grant her the freedom to do anything she wanted.
She also revealed that she attempted to study law but was unable to do it due to the additional work assigned to law students in school. “After repeated efforts with JAMB, because my maths was weak, and coupled with the fact that I was staying too long at home,” she told the Nation newspaper, “my father recommended me to do whatever suited me.”
