Baba Suwe was raised in Lagos, Nigeria, in a polygamous family that consisted of three different women. He had his primary education at Jamaitul Islamial Primary School in Lagos and Children Boarding School in Osogbo. After dropping out of secondary school at the age of 18, Baba Suwe began his career as an actor. At the time, he was in form four. It was during Baba Mero and his group’s performance at the Children’s Boarding School in Osogbo that he first became interested in the field.

After observing them, he decided to start a theater group, so he purchased drums and other musical instruments, recruited some boys from his street, including Mufitau Ilumoka, Sola Taiwo, and a number of other individuals, and began performing.

That was the beginning of what would later become the well-known brand name “Baba Suwe.” His debut performance took place on Lagos Island’s Amuto playing ground. Despite the fact that it was a free event, he was really pleased because it was such a great success.

He first gained widespread recognition after being cast in the film Omolasan, which was directed by Obalende and produced by him. From 1995 until her passing in 2009, Baba Suwe was married to Mrs. Monsurat Omidina, a well-known comedian and actress also known as Omoladun Kenkelewu. Their marriage lasted from 1995 to 2009. Junior Ominida, Halimat Omidina, and Okiki Omidina are his three children. Okiki Omidina is the youngest. Omolara Kareem, the man’s stepdaughter, accused him of murdering her mother after the passing of the man’s wife. Her mother had been the man’s wife. According to her, “She [Monsurat] undoubtedly died of high blood pressure as a result of the squabbles she had with her hubby.” Since then, he has found another partner in life.
