The amazing 11-year-old genius Laurent Simons has made history. He recently graduated from the University of Antwerp in Belgium with a Bachelor’s degree in Physics, having completed the three-year program in a record-breaking one year.

Born in the Belgian port city of Ostend, Laurent has been exhibiting signs of brilliance from a young age. To support his exceptional capabilities, his grandma alerted his parents, Lydia and Alexander Simmons, to his prowess.
Initially, they were wary of accelerating Laurent’s education, but once they allowed him to take a series of exams, the results left no doubt that the youngster had the potential to simultaneously pursue a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree. He ended up finishing high school in just 1.5 years, astonishing all of his peers.
On achieving this remarkable feat, Laurent has expressed his happiness in not just being the youngest person to do so, but in learning. In an interview withDe Telegraaf, he stated, “I don’t really care if I’m the youngest. For me, it’s all about acquiring knowledge.”
